
The National Basketball Association (NBA) has revealed that the 2006 NBA Champion, Jason Williams, will be the headlining act at NBA 3X Philippines, presented by Mountain Dew. The event will occur at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City on March 25 and 26, respectively.
The 10th edition of NBA 3X Philippines will feature a 3-on-3 tournament with more than 160 men’s and women’s teams, interactive fan activities, and authentic NBA entertainment, including performances by the Clutch City Dancers of the Houston Rockets. This event will return for the first time since 2019 and will be the first time since then that it has been held.
The preliminary competition for NBA 3X Philippines 2023 will be held in the PICC Forum Tent in Pasay City on Sunday, March 19, with the top teams in each category moving on to compete in the finals at the SM Mall of Asia. The competition will feature divisions for boys (under 19 and open category) and girls (under 19 and open category), in addition to a celebrity division that will include well-known athletes from the area.
This week, an announcement will be made on the NBA Philippines Facebook page about registration for the open divisions. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and the fee per team will be Php 1,000. Invitations will be the only participation method for the under-19 or celebrity divisions of the competition.
Every participant will walk away with a Mountain Dew-branded t-shirt and an NBA 3X jersey. Mountain Dew, the Official Soft Drink of the NBA in the Philippines, will award unique prizes to the champions of each division in addition to providing those prizes.
