Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations, announced today that Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended for one game without pay for receiving his 16th technical foul of the 2022-23 season. This suspension comes as a result of Green receiving the technical foul.

After a player or coach accumulates 16 technical fouls throughout a regular season, the NBA rules provide that they are automatically banned without pay for one game. This suspension comes into effect immediately. For that particular regular season, the player or coach will be automatically suspended without pay for an extra game for every two technical fouls they incur.

Green collected his most recent technical foul with 0:40 left in the second quarter of the Warriors’ defeat against the LA Clippers (134-126) on March 16 at Crypto.com Arena. The game’s final score was 134-126.

Green is scheduled to serve his suspension when the Warriors travel to the State Farm Arena in Atlanta to play the Hawks on March 17.
