The Philippines is a country that is obsessed with the sport of basketball, and this fact is not concealed.

The FIBA World Cup is not only an opportunity for Filipinos to see some of the best and brightest talents in the NBA, but it is also an opportunity to watch some of the best basketball in the world. The competition provides an opportunity for international players to learn more about the Philippines and to feel the support of supporters from that country.

The members of Team USA, Paolo Banchero and Bogdan Bogdanovic of Serbia, anticipate just that once they arrive in Manila for the competition.

The fact that Banchero will be participating in the FIBA World Cup for the first time will represent the first time he has ever played basketball anywhere other than the United States. This will make his first appearance in the quadrennial basketball competition all the more memorable.

“I’ve never experienced [playing] anywhere else other than the United States, so getting the chance to play there and being in front of their supporters was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. The big man for the Orlando Magic, who is also the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year, said that he believes it will be an experience that only happens once in a lifetime.

There will likely be an insanity-inducing crowd there. I do not doubt that there will be a large number of people in attendance, and as a result, I can’t wait to get there.” Banchero continued by saying

Conversely, Bogdanovic is familiar with the fervent support that Filipinos provide for their national team.

When we last left off, Serbia was facing off against the Philippines in Group D of the 2019 FIBA World Cup, which was hosted in Beijing. In the preliminary encounter between the two teams, the Serbians were victorious against the Gilas with a score of 126–67.

The Atlanta Hawks sniper had a clear recollection of the electric atmosphere of the game, despite the fact that his team had an easy victory.

“I know that when we played them in China, it was crowded, and they have a big support, so I’m looking forward to seeing how they are as fans.”

If there is one thing that teams can anticipate when they arrive in Manila, Filipinos will also be in the stands cheering them on. The only exception to this rule is if the team they are playing is Gilas.
